Is it free to join HousingHub as a broker?
Yes, creating a broker account is completely free. HousingHub earns only when you earn: we take a small platform fee from each successful commission, so our interests are always aligned with yours.
What is the commission rate for brokers?
Commission rates start at 8% for new brokers and increase based on your deal volume and performance tier. Top-tier brokers earn up to 20% per deal. Rates are agreed upfront with each property owner.
How quickly do I get paid after a deal closes?
Once a lease is signed and the first payment is received, your commission is released within 3–5 business days directly to your registered mobile money or bank account.
Do I need to be a licensed real estate agent?
You do not need a formal license to sign up. However, brokers with professional credentials get a verified badge on their profile, which increases client trust and deal volume.
What areas does HousingHub currently cover?
We currently operate in Kampala, Jinja, and Mukono, with Entebbe, Wakiso, and Mbarara coming soon. Brokers operating in or near these areas will benefit most from the platform right now.
Can I bring my own property listings to the platform?
Yes. If you have existing relationships with property owners, you can recommend them to list on HousingHub. Once verified, those properties appear in your portfolio and you get first-match priority on client leads.
